On Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, the Kosher-certified Falafel Place staged its grand opening on May 11, 2021.
Falafel Place offers a variety of genuine Middle Eastern foods, such as shakshuka, babaganush, tzatziki, roasted eggplant, and falafel, as well as hummus in pita and hummus masala. Both indoor and outdoor dining is available at the restaurant.
Owners of Falafel Place Tamara and Ehud Cafri have been running Hummus Place on New York City’s Upper West Side for more than 15 years. They launched the first Falafel Place restaurant in Yonkers in 2020.

Awesome food! It’s a quiet, small place on White Plains’ busy Mamaroneck Avenue. It’s really unassuming, but the food is surprisingly delicious. It’s actually some of the tastiest Middle Eastern casual food I’ve had in the New York City area, better than more popular places like Taïm. I ordered the hummus masabacha, which was creamy and scrumptious. It came with a fresh, delightfully fluffy pita.
The falafel were fresh, hot and really tasty, with a flavor more herbaceous and less oily than other falafels I’ve had. The dolma were great, too. If this place was closer to where I live in New York City, I’d be coming here multiple times a week! If you’re in White Plains and need a quick, tasty meal, you can’t go wrong here. Side note: the menu is completely vegetarian.

I just came back from Israel and was craving falafel and pita. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the flavor and texture of the falafel and pita at Falafel Place are. Not quite as good as in Israel but it is very good and the pita was so fluffy and delicious. They need to add more pickles and shug but I can’t complain! I would definitely come back again.
